By now you should have settled on WordPress as you site software, and installed it on your site.
You should now be ready to get started with WordPress!
Remember that I have special considerations for my site.
1. LOW or NO Cost.
2. Start with the Basics and understand what I am doing.
If these are not your priorities then you may not be interested in this site. If you do not want to understand how WordPress works and have the finances you are probably better off just hiring a developer to set up your site.
Starting WordPress
- Pick a theme. This is required when you first open WordPress. I used twenty twenty one because I need as little white in the screen as passible as my eyes are VERY bad. Try to get one you can stick with, there can be consequences it you change it later.
I also turn on Dark Mode and set the background color to back. - Then next thing you will wnat to do is to create a new page, set it as you home page, and then experiment with the Title, logo, background colors, and background image. Getting the home page set up the way you want it to be is very important, the header will be carried out throught you site.
